Michael has been a great, long term client for whom we built a no-compromise E36 M3 for the street and the race track. At the heart of this build is a 300 horsepower, high compression, cammed S52 to rival the horsepower output of the S54 without the sacrifice of torque. Utilizing only the best parts available, such as JE Pistons, Schrick camshafts, and a dual pickup system from the S54, he has everything he needs to turn fast lap times. Power of course is nothing without the ability to use it — when we say no compromise we mean it. The powertrain is supported by a custom-built differential by Wangan, and for suspension, we installed 2 way adjustable TC Kline dampers, Ground Control sway bars, camber arms, and control arm bearings. Michael’s E36 is a dream to drive and we are honored to be a part of his motorsports journey.

We followed a simple formula with Sergey’s E46 M3: One way Ground Control coilovers, sway bars, and a lot of seat time. Sergey hits the track more than anyone we know, sometimes attending well over 50 events a year! With this much dedication and practice, it’s crucial to have a reliable and consistent car. We stick to a rigorous maintenance cycle on his car by regularly flushing transmission, differential, and engine oils, as well as coolant, to ensure proper operation and minimal wear. Over the last year, he has significantly improved his driving and has become very in-tune with the chassis. With the help of our setup, he has achieved very impressive lap times for how simple his build is. On street 200TW tires he has lapped Buttonwillow 13CW in the 1:57’s, Thunderhill West in the low 1:20’s, and has his sights on shattering those PB’s this coming year. Additionally, safety is a crucial point for building confidence and protecting our drivers, and that’s why we trust cage builders like TC Design in Campbell to build roll bars and cages for our clients.

Jeff is fast. Fast drivers need a reliable and well set-up car, and when he called us and asked for a last-minute clutch replacement to replace a slipping OEM clutch, we got him in and got it done. While we were in there, we found a few things during our inspection that we alerted him of. We did a complimentary bolt check, paint-marked the fasteners, and sent him on his way to a successful and problem-free event at Sonoma Raceway.

Edward’s E46 M3 is a beautiful example of a dual-duty car: a full comfortable interior paired with no-compromise handling modifications and extensive engine maintenance performed by us. Recently, we installed a freshly remanufactured cylinder head done in house by Flying Colors Racing, followed with a valve adjustment, upgraded timing components, and fresh wheel hubs. We also noticed his wheel studs appeared to be relatively old and in need of replacement, so we installed a fresh set of Bimmerworld extended wheel studs — A friendly reminder that aftermarket wheels studs are a maintenance item and should be replaced periodically!
