The Spec3.
Our first rental vehicle in the fleet, the BMW E36 325is, is a Spec E36 (also fits within rules for Spec3 for NASA) homologated for racing within BMW CCA Club Racing’s rules. You can also rent it for track days, SCCA time trials, Lucky Dog races, and more.
Vehicle Specs
-
This is a BMW E36 325is with the M50 2.5L inline-six motor, making roughly 185 horsepower. It is equipped with a five speed manual transmission and a limit-slip differential. This is a great beginner car for those learning to drive on the racetrack and want a bit more speed than a typical Miata.
-
This Spec3 will be equipped with Hankook RS4 tires. They are the official tire of Lucky Dog and provide fantastic grip for track days.
-
A full six-point cage is welded into the chassis and Lifeline fire suppression is installed with easy access to the handle trigger. The car is equipped with bucket seats and a six point harness, so we require you to also wear a HANS device when on the track in this vehicle.
-
This car is equipped with ABS, but nothing else. It is as raw as it gets, so you can have the purest form of driving to learn from.
